Dura-Cast Products offers a line of open top tanks with a number of different shapes. They are seamless, lightweight, easy to clean, corrosion-resistant, and rust free. Open top tanks are molded of polyethylene resin that is compounded with UV stabilizers to extend their life and durability. Our open top tanks are rotationally molded and manufactured.

OPEN TOP TANK USES:
Open top tanks are typically used for water, liquid, or solids storage, planting pots, bathing, fish & reptile breeding, and containment vessels for other tanks. Because they have superior mechanical properties, high stiffness, excellent low temperature impact strength, and outstanding environmental stress crack resistance, they stand up well in tough environments.
Blue open top tanks that have a smooth inside surface are used extensively for breeding and raising fish. The FDA compliant polyethylene is safe and non-toxic to aquatic and animal life. A Tank-Your-Way blue colored tank eliminates shadows that scare fish, minimizing stress and causing them to be more productive, healthy, and active.
OPEN TOP TANK CONSTRUCTION
The overall general toughness and excellent chemical resistance of polyethylene to a wide array of wet and dry industrial chemicals and food products makes it ideally suited for storage tanks. Dura-Cast open top tanks are made with FDA compliant UV stabilized polyethylene. They comply with U.S. Food & Drug Administration regulation 21CFR 177.1520 (1) 3.1 and 3.2 for storage of potable water. This permits it to be used as an article that can be in contact with potable water or food products.
Open top tanks can be used indoors or outdoors. Because the resin is UV stabilized, it will not breakdown under harsh outdoor weather conditions or under prolonged exposure to fluorescent lights. Because the open top tanks are rotomolded, they are of single-piece construction, seamless, and have a consistent tank wall thickness. Drains are not included, but can be ordered as an option and located to customer specifications.
